Chartered Partner Award

The Copperhead District of the Sam Houston Area Council, Boy Scouts of America will honor one Chartered Partner that has contributed greatly to the Copperhead District. This award promotes strong relationships between Chartered Organizations and Boy Scouts of America. The Chartered Partner will receive a plaque for display at their facility. Awards are presented at the district dinner.

Eligibility Nominees may be:

  • Religious communities
  • Educational groups
  • Civic, service, or fraternal associations
  • Business, industry, labor, military, or veterans organizations

Nominees must be currently chartering one or more units within the boundaries of the Sam Houston Area Council.

Criteria

The nominee will display attributes similar to the following:

  • Demonstrates outstanding or distinctive relationships beyond the normal expectation.
  • Provides noteworthy service to youth, contributing to increased youth participation.
  • Cooperates with the district and/or council.
  • Involves the institutional head in the selection of quality unit leadership.
  • Increases the reputation of Scouting within the community organization.

Explain why this institution should be honored for excellence in relationships. Give evidence as to how the nominee has: demonstrated outstanding or distinctive relationships beyond the normal expectations, provided noteworthy service to youth, contributed to increased youth participation, cooperated with the district and/or council, involved the institutional head in the selection of quality unit leadership, caused greater comprehension in the use of Scouting within the community organization, and any additional pertinent information.
